The Denver Nuggets are coming off a 122-105 loss to the Golden State Warriors, and head coach Michael Malone was not happy with how his team played against the Dubs.

Speaking to reporters after practice on Monday, Malone said his guys are playing too selfishly right now. To fix it, the 47-year-old led an intense film session on Monday where he called out players.

Malone also told the players if anyone in the room was sensitive, they should just get up and leave.

“I showed 13 clips today,” Michael Malone said, via T.J. McBride of Mile High Sports. “And I told the guys before we watched them, ‘If anybody in here is sensitive, get up and leave now.'

“It was very open, very honest, and very direct about what a bad shot is, what a bad turnover is, and what selfish basketball looks like. Hopefully they hear the message and get back to playing the way we play. “Since the All-Star break, we are 4-4 and a couple things are trending in the wrong direction. Our turnovers, points off turnovers, are 28th in the NBA. Our offensive efficiency since the All-Star break is 19th. Our field goal percentage on offense is I think 25th. I think it is a number of things.

“I think we are taking a lot of contested shots. I think we are taking a lot of bad shots. Those poor shots and turnovers are fueling teams breaks.”

The Nuggets still have the second-best record in the Western Conference, but the ball has been sticking a lot lately.

Denver needs to get back to how they were playing before the All-Star break by moving the ball side to side and creating shots for others instead of having tunnel vision.
