The Denver Nuggets and veteran guard Monte Morris have agreed to a multi-year contract extension.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, that the two sides have come to terms on a new three-year, $27 million extension to keep Morris in Denver for the foreseeable future.

It's an impressive feat to accomplish for Morris, both on the court and financially. The Nuggets guard was originally selected by the surging Western Conference franchise with the 51st overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft out of Iowa State.

The 25-year-old Monte Morris is currently gearing up for his fourth NBA campaign, all of which have come as a member of the Nuggets. As a second round pick, Morris initially appeared in just three games for Denver in the 2017-18 campaign.

Fortunately for him, his hard work paid off as he went on to play all 82 games (six starts) in the following regular season in 2018-19.

In 2019-20, which obviously became quite the memorable season for all the wrong reasons, Morris appeared in 73 regular season games in addition to starting a single-season career-high 12 contests.

For his NBA playing career as a whole, Morris has averaged 9.6 points per game. It is also worth noting that the former Cyclones standout owns career averages of 2.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists. Morris has also shot 39.8 percent from behind the arc as a member of the Nuggets.
