The Denver Nuggets and Washington Wizards are finalizing a trade that will see Monte Morris and Will Barton join Bradley Beal in DC, while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Ish Smith head to the Mile High City to give Nikola Jokic some help. But, the real reason NBA Twitter is losing their minds over this deal is Smith, who is on the brink of making history if he suits up for the Nuggets.

Denver would be his 13th team. Yes, you read that correctly. The true definition of a journeyman.

Not exactly a record that any player would be particularly proud of, but it's still kind of impressive. The Nuggets could definitely use Smith as a piece off the bench but he won't be expected to get any heavy minutes. The 33-year-old may serve as a backup point guard to Jamal Murray.

Smith averaged 8.6 points, 5.2 assists, and three rebounds in 28 games last season for the Wizards. That's some decent production, especially from a playmaking standpoint. He's been around the league for a hot minute and can certainly give the Nuggets some depth. Per sources close to Matt Moore of The Action Network, it appears they do plan to keep him around, too:

13th team. Here we go, Ish Smith. Give em' hell.
