Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic gave his honest feelings about potential load management, as his team and many others head toward the last leg of the season. The Nuggets (40-18 overall, second in Western Conference) have a playoff berth to fight for and are hoping to lock down the second seed, with the Los Angeles Lakers already 5.5 games ahead in the race for the top spot.

As far as Jokic sees it, he doesn't plan to sit any games for the time being.

“I'm trying to play every game if possible,” said Jokic, according to Harrison Wind of DNVR Sports.

Head coach Mike Malone acknowledged he could use sitting a few of his players for some rest before the start of the postseason, but ensured to say that's easier said than done.

“It's unique to each player and each team…I know in my conversations with our players I can't get guys to sit,” said Malone. “Our guys don't want to sit.”

The Nuggets have a young roster with not many old legs to maintain besides Paul Millsap. However, giving a starter a night off might make all the difference, considering minutes and intensity will ramp up in the postseason.

Denver fell short in the second round last season, losing to the lower-seeded Portland Trail Blazers — something they'll look to change this time around.

Malone said he'd look to rest a few of his key guys “down the stretch,” likely referring to the last games of the postseason, once they have clinched a playoff spot.
