Nikola Jokic has dominated the NBA like no other player we have ever seen. This doesn't mean that the Denver Nuggets center is far and away the best player but that his style of play is truly one-of-a-kind.

With per-game averages of 26.1 points, 13.9 rebounds and 8.1 assists and shooting splits of 57.4 percent from the field and 36.0 percent from deep, Jokic torches anyone who steps in his path. His stat lines can border on legitimately unbelievable on several occasions. Denver has built an offense entirely around his unreal talents.

But when the Nuggets star was asked about all the ass-kicking he does, he didn't brag too much about it. When Rohan Nadkarni of Sports Illustrated asked Jokic if becoming the race of the NBA after being an afterthought when he was drafted, he sounded indifferent. When asked if he likes dominating defenses on a nightly basis, he veered the conversation towards dessert.

O.K., fine. Can he at least admit dominating defenses every night is incredibly fun?

“I will say I love ice cream the most in the world. But after 10 days of ice cream you get bored of it. There are other things I love as much or more than basketball.”

Jokic's goofy behavior makes his answers more understandable. Although is no stranger to dirty plays, he is still a joy to watch. The reigning MVP is on pace to secure the award again, though the race for it is very packed.

The ultimate goal for Jokic and the Nuggets is to win a championship. They are near the top of the Western Conference but don't look like a title contender right now. But with Jokic, they have a one-man wrecking crew to lean on.
