The Denver Nuggets were told that despite hurting his knee earlier this week, Nikola Jokic is healthy enough to join the team.

Halloween came early for the Nuggets after star big man Nikola Jokic hurt his knee in a scary collision with Jazz center Rudy Gobert in Denver's 110-122 loss to Utah on Tuesday.

As it stands, Jokic's status remains in question but after a wide array of tests, he is now “more than capable” of playing full games. In fact, it wasn't the bruised knee that limited the reigning NBA MVP on Friday against the Dallas Mavericks. Instead, it was just foul trouble that saw him only playing for a total of 25 minutes.

“They’ve been making him go through the protocols, the testing, different drills and they felt that he was more than capable of getting out there and playing tonight,” Nuggets head coach Michael Malone said after Nuggets’ 106-75 win over the Mavericks via The Denver Post.

Further shooting down the severity of his injury, Jokic told the Denver Post that he had an MRI that revealed “no structural damage.” Moreover, the 26-year-old remains unfazed and intends to play every game of the season if possible.

“If there is a chance for me to play, I’m gonna play,” Jokic said postgame.

Before thumping the Mavs 106-75, the Nuggets were on a two-game losing streak. Jokic is well aware that they need to put an end to the team's drought and his 11 points, 16 rebounds, 8 assists certainly helped Denver finally seal a win.
