The Denver Nuggets are one of the top teams in the Western Conference, currently sitting in the second seed with a record of 8-1. However, Paul Millsap was not quite himself to start the season. Mike Singer of The Denver Post has more:

“I doubt myself for sure,” Millsap conceded Saturday morning. “Sometimes it gets that bad when you can’t find a rhythm. I’ve had times when layups didn’t go in, you start second-guessing yourself. It’s how you come at it and how you react to it.”

Millsap would then give out a “Space Jam” reference when talking about finding his groove:

“Just feel like myself again,” he said. “Don’t feel like all my powers have been taken from me. I feel like a ‘Space Jam’ creature. It feels good to be in a rhythm.”

Paul Millsap is putting up 13.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.2 steals per game for the Nuggets. He is also shooting 48.3 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from 3-point range. The veteran forward has come alive in the last week by shooting at least 50 percent in four straight games, and he also hit a game-winning shot in the final second to beat the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday.

The Nuggets are a team on the rise, and they will need Paul Millsap to be an important veteran presence on both ends of the floor if the squad is going to make noise in the tough Western Conference.
