Sit down, Zion Williamson. Because Paul Millsap is the real king of the alley-oop. Or at least that's what he likes to think.

The Denver Nuggets veteran forward had another cheesy yet hilarious remark after their win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday, telling reporters that he's been imploring his teammates all season to throw him a lob pass. But instead, all they've been giving him are bounce passes. As Nuggets reporter Katy Winge pointed out, that's gotta be one of the best quotes ever.

Millsap did have an impressive alley-oop play against the Pelicans, finishing Austin River's lob pass with a nasty slam, taking the poor soul of James Johnson with him, plus a foul! How's that for a 36-year-old? Even the Nuggets announcers were pumped up.

Millsap helped the Nuggets escape with a two-point win, contributing seven points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 19 minutes off the bench. But clearly, his best contribution was his LOL-inducing postgame quip.

The four-time All-Star isn't new to spewing interesting comments. As Winge referenced, Millsap previously compared Nikola Jokic's dimes to “free cheeseburgers.” Talk about a cheesy comment, right? Because whenever you have the chance to compare basketball stuff to greasy goodness, you do it.

The Nuggets aren't lacking in players who can throw it up to Mr. Lob Pass Threat. Aside from Rivers, there's of course Jokic, Facundo Campazzo, and even PJ Dozier.

The Nuggets are sitting comfortably in fourth place in the Western Conference after their latest win. And with Paul Millsap finally getting his lob pass request, it's only apt that he treats his teammates to, you guessed it, free cheeseburgers.
