Here’s another headline to smile about this Women’s Month — Wednesday’s game featuring the Denver Nuggets and Toronto Raptors were led by an all-female broadcasting team. The hosts that worked on the TSN broadcast were Megham McPeak and Kia Nurse (on-call), Kayla Grey (on the sidelines), and Kate Beirness and Amy Audibert (on the boot). This is the first time an all-female broadcast hosted a game in NBA history.

These incredible broadcasters are proof that women can make it in a field that is dubbed as a dominant male job. They continue to push the needle and inspire young women to be able to dream about doing what they want to do. Female reporters like McPeak, Nurse, Grey, Beirness, and Audibert are prime examples of why women should never give up on their dreams despite what society wants them to think.

The broadcast spearheaded an exciting Raptors versus Nuggets game, where each team needs a victory to climb their respective standings. The Raptors, who are making headlines this trade deadline because of Kyle Lowry, have been on a losing slump these past few days. As for the Nuggets, they’ve found their momentum—all they need to do is to win consistently. The broadcasters are hosting an important game for both teams on Wednesday.

Aside from the broadcast crew, there have been several women reporters who have done a tremendous job working in the NBA. A few of those are ESPN’s Malika Andrews, The Jump’s Rachel Nichols, and of course, the Shaquille O’Neal burner in Candace Parker
