Happy birthday Gary Harris! The Denver Nuggets guard turns 24 on Friday and his teammates serenaded the prolific scorer with a poolside rendition of “Happy Birthday” and Harris was loving it.

Harris is entering his fifth season in the league and he's seen steady growth in every year. Last season, Harris was a starter and consistent contributor that nearly snuck in the playoffs. Harris averaged 17.5 points per game shooting 48.5 percent from the floor. He also shot just under 40 percent from three-point range. He is a crucial piece on Denver due to his ability to score the basketball.

It's crazy to think that Gary Harris is just turning 24. He's just one of the incredibly talented young players on the Denver Nuggets roster. In addition to Harris, the Nuggets have Nikola Jokic, 23, who is entering the conversation for the best big man in the NBA. Harris' backcourt running mate, Jamal Murray is only 21-years-old.

Not to mention, the Nuggets just drafted Michael Porter Jr., 20, with the 14th pick in the draft. Porter was projected to be the first overall pick at one point. Unfortunately, injuries hurt Porter's stock and he nearly slipped out of the lottery. But if Porter can overcome the injuries, the young corps on the Nuggets looks dangerous.

Denver is among the slew of Western Conference teams that will fight for eight precious playoff spots. Although Denver narrowly missed out on the playoffs last year, they believe that their young team will be even better this year. After all, they are another year older and wiser.
