Almost nobody expected the Denver Nuggets to be as successful as they are this season. Head coach Mike Malone is doing a tremendous job leading Denver towards a 50-plus win season behind some great teamwork and chemistry with his young core.

While center Nikola Jokic often grabs all the attention, the Nuggets are also getting some key contributions all throughout its roster, particularly from third-year guard Jamal Murray.

The former seventh-overall pick from the 2016 NBA Draft is really starting to show his true potential this season. Murray is currently Denver's second-leading scorer and is pulling out all the stops to go beyond his limitations on offense.

Case in point: here's a clip of Murray soaring high and looking to posterize Minnesota's Anthony Tolliver on Tuesday's contest against the Timberwolves.

Jamal Murray was indeed looking for a dunk of the year candidate with that attempt. Unfortunately, the 22-year-old failed to finish what would've been a highlight-worthy 3-point play.

Still, seeing Murray showcase some crazy vertical leap is a sight to behold. The 6-foot-4 guard has been instrumental to Denver's success this season to say the least, scoring a career-best average of 18.2 points per game. He also led his team in scoring with 22 poinnts heading into the final quarter against Minnesota.

The rest of the league better keep an eye on Murray once he's able to consistently add a hack-and-slash attack to his arsenal. And if this clip is any indication of his progress, we have all been warned.
