Denver Nuggets Guard Jamal Murray was locked-in early in his team's Western Conference Finals series opener against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday.

The 6-foot-3 firecracker made sure the Nuggets had the lead after the first 12 minutes, as he drained a buzzer-beating triple to give Denver a 38-36 advantage.

The Purple and Gold looked like they will hold on to a one-point lead after a beautiful two-man game from Kyle Kuzma and LeBron James. Murray, however, had other plans.

With under five ticks left in the quarter, the Kentucky alum was picked up by Anthony Davis following a switch. Realizing he had the speed advantage over AD, Murray razzled and dazzled before launching a 3-pointer at the top of the key over the outstretched hands of the Lakers big man.

That was Jamal Murray's first 3-pointer of the game and he had nine points in the opening quarter. He also got his Nuggets teammates involved as he racked up four dimes in the quarter.
