It has been just over a month since Denver Nuggets All-Star forward Paul Millsap underwent wrist surgery.

The 32-year-old has continued to make steady progress in his recovery that is slated to keep him out of the lineup until after the All-Star break in February. Despite not being able to use his left hand just yet, Millsap was seen taking one-handed shots at the team's practice facility on Friday morning.

This recent activity in his rehab comes just a couple of days after Millsap voiced that he is aggressively pushing to coming back sooner than his initial timetable suggests. Although he is optimistic about making his return in a shorter time frame, Nuggets head coach Mike Malone has also stated that the team is still hedging toward the All-Star forward being back at some point shortly after the All-Star Break.

Prior to the injury, Millsap has quickly fit into the fold through the first 16 games played averaging 15.3 points and 6.2 rebounds. He had established himself as one of their go-to options offensive options helping the team get off to an encouraging start.

In his absence, the Nuggets have remained in the playoff picture with the sixth-best record in the Western Conference just a game behind the Oklahoma City Thunder for the fifth overall spot. Nonetheless, Millsap's increased activity in his rehab is certainly a positive sign.
