Back-to-back Dota 2 The International champions OG will be missing the second Major of DPC 2020-2021. They now have to face Brame and Tundra Esports to retain their spot in West Europe's Upper Division for the next Season. Otherwise, it's the Lower Division for them.

OG loses to Team Liquid, will play tiebreakers vs. Brame, Tundra Esports

OG will have a very rough path this year if they want to defend the Aegis this Fall in Stockholm. The two-time Dota 2 champions failed to qualify for the WePlay AniMajor, and are currently on the brink of getting knocked out of the West Europe Upper Division. OG lost to Team Liquid during the last match of the season's Upper Division proper. Team Liquid then secured 2nd place, locking their position in the AniMajor Group Stage.

Meanwhile, OG will have to fight in a tie-breaker. Finishing at shared 5th place, OG will be playing against Tundra Esports and Brame. The loser of the three-way tie will be relegated to the Lower Division. If OG fails to overcome both teams, they might lose all their chances of defending the Aegis in the grandest stage of Dota 2.

For the rest of the West Europe Region, the Top 4 of the League have all been secured. Finishing at top place, Alliance will be heading straight to AniMajor's Playoffs. The aforementioned Team Liquid secured 2nd place, and will head straight to the Group Stage. Finally, Team Secret and Team Nigma will both have the longest journey to the Major Finals, starting off at the Wild Cards round. None of the West Europe teams have secured their slots in TI10 yet. Meanwhile, teams Virtus.pro, Evil Geniuses, and Invictus Gaming have all secured enough points in the DPC to guarantee their slot in The International 10. For the first time since TI4, TI10 will have no Open Qualifiers.
