Among the most conspicuous players left out in the NBA 75 list is Kyrie Irving. The Brooklyn Nets star point guard recently talked about that perceived snub in true Kyrie Irving fashion.

Kyrie Irving on NBA 75 snub: “I think I'll leave it to the conspiracy theorists. I think I was on the list… but I guess I'm not. Maybe I'll just wait 10 years, 20 years from now… hopefully with a few championships under my belt.”

It might be a bit odd — or interesting, even — to hear Irving have an open discourse about “conspiracy theorists,” considering his controversial stances in the past. Irving, had in the past, voiced his belief that the Earth is flat. And then there is his ongoing resistance to getting vaccinated against COVID-19 which resulted in him missing a bunch of games this season. But just like the way he handles the ball on the court, there seems to be no stopping the 30-year-old Nets guard from trying to be himself.

As for his chances to one day make an all-time NBA list, it's a sound idea to bet on it. Irving is one of the best players of his generation. It just so happens that no matter how the league cuts it, there will always be stars who are bound to be left out on such lists.
