As are the rules on the mean streets of Twitter in the social media era, former teammate Nikola Vucevic couldn't be far behind, trolling his floor general for the sudden change.

Payton is usually easy to spot on the court for his upwards-mop-like hairstyle, but he won't be that easily seen in the near future after trimming a vast part of his hair.
The Louisiana native is going into a tricky portion of the offseason, entering the last year of his contract before becoming a restricted free agent in 2019.
The Orlando Magic traded him away to the Phoenix Suns only seconds before the trade deadline passed, for a second-round pick in return. His pairing with shooting guard phenom Devin Booker was short-lived, due to the latter's-recurrent injuries during the winding part of the season.
Having entered the league with plenty of hoopla, but yet to fully find his shot, it will be interesting to see what awaits the talented guard. With some hair off his cranium, maybe moving forward a basketball loving nation will find out that all of that extra hair was just holding him back.
