The Indiana Pacers are still without bubble star T.J. Warren, who has been sidelined for all but four games across the last two seasons due to a foot injury. Warren underwent some scans on Wednesday which showed continued healing, but head coach Rick Carlisle made it clear on Friday that he won't likely be able to play until mid-to-late January:

More scans either later this month or in January will give the Pacers a much better idea of where Warren is at. Indiana is struggling this season, going 9-15 and winning just three of their last 10 games. Rookie Chris Duarte has done a relatively decent job in place of Warren, averaging 13 points per night. The Pacers have dealt with absences though as Justin Holiday is currently out due to COVID-19 while T.J. McConnell is sidelined with a wrist injury.

Warren became one of the standout players in Orlando during the 2019/20 season, dropping 26.6 points per game in 10 appearances as the Pacers were eventually swept by the Miami Heat in the first round of the playoffs.

The organization was undoubtedly excited to see if Warren could carry that form into the 2020/21 campaign, but he went on the shelf right away with the foot problem. Once he does return to the fold for Indiana, it will certainly be a nice boost to their offense alongside Caris LeVert, Malcolm Brogdon, and Domantas Sabonis.
