Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner was the subject of seemingly endless trade rumors during the NBA season, though the franchise ultimately decided to hold onto the talented big man through the deadline. Turner, who missed the team's final 39 contests with a foot injury, sent out a tweet that was a major hint about his future in Indiana ahead of the franchise's 2022 NBA offseason. NBA reporter Marc Stein has the details.

On Monday morning, Myles Turner tweeted out his excitement about his future in Indiana after missing the Pacers' final 39 games this season because of a foot injury. Sources say that the Pacers do hope to keep Turner long-term after they previously weighed Turner-centric trades going back to last summer. Indiana instead traded former All-Star forward Domantas Sabonis to Sacramento; Turner has one season left on his current contract at $18 million.

Turner sent out a tweet saying that he “can't wait for next season” with Pacers-colored heart emojis following his message. That would seem to be a good sign for Indiana ahead of the NBA offseason.

As Stein reports, the 26-year-old center is a part of the Pacers' long-term plans, even after a season filled with trade rumors. The deadline came and went, with Turner staying put and fellow big man Domantas Sabonis dealt to the Sacramento Kings.

Turner, who averaged 12.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks per game in 42 games played, is due to be paid $18 million in the final year of his contract next season.

As of right now, it sounds like Turner will be wearing Pacers threads next year.
