Chris Paul has been the NBA's quintessential floor general for a long time. Although he is still going strong, his title will be up for grabs soon. Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton threw his hat in the ring by setting an NBA record.

Haliburton became the first player in league history to record two games with 15 assists and no turnovers before turning 23 years old. The Pacers' budding star first accomplished the feat against his former team, the Sacramento Kings, and did it again against the Detroit Pistons. He is also the only player to reach the feat twice this season.

At just 22 years od age, Haliburton is showing levels of playmaking that only a few players in the whole league can. He is also doing so for an Indiana team full of fringe NBA players.

Although the Pacers lost both of the games in which Haliburton achieved the feat, his playmaking will be extremely important and helpful to the team for years to come. They traded their franchise star, Domantas Sabonis, to acquire him and can now say they have a future star to build around.

In 22 games with the Pacers this season, Haliburton is averaging 17.2 points, 9.5 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game while shooting 49.3 percent from the field and 42.6 percent from deep. He is truly blossoming into a star. With Indiana embarking on what should be a very long rebuild, they will need all the playmaking from Haliburton they can get.
