Indiana Pacers shooting guard Victor Oladipo will take the court Thursday for Game 2 against the Miami Heat, according to the team. Oladipo exited Game 1 against the Heat after a mere nine minutes after getting poked in the eye by a lunging Jae Crowder.

All four of Oladipo's points came by way of the free-throw line, as the former All-Star would not return following the injury.

Down 1-0 in this first-round series, Oladipo will return and likely give the Pacers a better shot at evening up the series on Thursday after suffering a 113-101 loss on Tuesday.

Since his return on Jan. 29, Oladipo has taken small steps into getting acclimated to the NBA games, While he's had his share of shining moments, there's nothing that suggests he's back to his old scoring ways.

He scored 27 points in a March 10 tilt against the Boston Celtics before the 2019-20 NBA season was postponed, but his following outings have been that of a role player, rather than a star upon return.

Sadly, Victor Oladipo has lacked the scoring punch that made him an All-Star in 2017-18, when he was first acquired alongside Domantas Sabonis from the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Paul George trade.

The Indiana native is putting up 14.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists in 19 games since his return from a knee injury — but it will take a lot more than those averages to keep the Pacers afloat against a very capable Heat team that has started to gain momentum.
