Victor Oladipo has been having an incredible NBA season so far. The Indiana Pacers shooting guard is currently averaging 24.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game in a career year.

Oladipo has soundly broken all of the expectations that were set for him, even when he was drafted with the second pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. After trading Paul George in the off-season, the Pacers were poised to become a lottery team in the Eastern Conference.

However, the Pacers are now ranked fifth in the Eastern Conference and are arguably doing better than they did last year with George.

Consequently, Oladipo gained his first All-Star appearance and will be heading to Los Angeles on Sunday to represent the Pacers in the 2018 All-Star game. When he was asked to name his favorite player of all time, the Pacers guard gave a typical answer. It was none other than Michael Jordan.

There aren't enough words to describe how legendary Jordan is. In fact, the NBA declared him to be the league's greatest player of all time in his career summary.

By acclamation, Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time — although a summary of his basketball career and influence on the game inevitably fails to do justice to the man. A phenomenal athlete with a unique combination of fundamental soundness, grace, speed, power, artistry, improvisational ability and an unquenchable competitive desire, Jordan single-handedly redefined the NBA superstar.

While it would be foolish to expect Oladipo to follow the same path as the Chicago Bulls legend, hopefully, he can try to steer the Pacers into the postseason and into major success in the future.
