The Green Bay Packers had superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers under center for their divisional battle against the Minnesota Vikings Week 2 despite his knee injury suffered in the season opener. Although Rodgers was able to power through the injury last week, the knee issue will be monitored closely moving forward.

In Week 3, the storied franchise is expected to have Rodgers once again on the field calling the shots for the Packers. However, the perennial Pro Bowler is a concerned that continue to play on the knee injury will make it worse, via Rob Demovsky of ESPN.

The concern, however, is that the more the Green Bay Packers quarterback plays on it, the worse it gets.

“Yeah, obviously that's a concern,” Rodgers said Wednesday. “Hopefully it goes the other way though.”

As it did last year, the major concern for the Packers is that the season will be lost without their superstar gunslinger playing from week to week. Rodgers makes this team a legitimate title contender when on the field as he's proven in the first two weeks against divisional opponents in the Chicago Bears and Vikings.

It will be no easy task for Rodgers to continue to play through the pain as he knows he won't be 100 percent as they head into the matchup with the Washington Redskins.

He admitted that his knee “obviously it won't be 100 percent, so I'll just adjust accordingly to how I'm feeling and try to get through.”

“It just depends on how the week goes with the rehab and the recovery,” Rodgers said. “Obviously, I'd love to be better than I was last week as far as health-wise but there's some factors that are out of my control.”

Rodgers' health will be the main concern for Green Bay as they press on during the 2018 campaign. The one-time Super Bowl champion will be limping his way to the bye week which for the Packers will be in Week 7.

In the meantime, Rodgers will prepare for the Redskins followed by the Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions, and San Francisco 49ers before taking on perhaps their toughest matchup of the season against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 8.
