Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams acknowledged Los Angeles Rams cornerback as one of the best players at his position ahead of Saturday's showdown between the two teams.

The Packers star wideout said Ramsey is one of the three or four ā€œsuper eliteā€ cornerbacks in football, per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic.

Many around the league would likely argue Ramsey is the best cornerback in the entire NFL, with next weekend setting up to be another test for the defensive back when the Packers and Rams meet.

Ramsey had success covering Seattle Seahawks wideout D.K. Metcalf during the two regular-season matchups between L.A. and Seattle, and he mostly shut Metcalf down again this past weekend. According to ESPN Next Gen Stats, Ramsey shadowed Metcalf on 22 of his 31 routes across the three Rams-Seahawks games. Metcalf's stat line? A combined four receptions for 44 yards on 11 total targets.

Metcalf ripped the Rams when not shadowed by Ramsey, as he finished the game with five receptions for 96 yards. But Ramsey's showings against D.K. and the likes of Stefon Diggs serve as proof he can take a star receiver out of the game. It is what makes his showdown with Adams so interesting.

Adams has been Aaron Rodgers' most reliable offensive weapons for the Packers. He finished the year with 115 receptions for 1,374 yards and a league-high 18 touchdowns in just 14 games, staking his own claim as perhaps the best player at his position.

Naturally, Adams' ability and dominance in the passing game figures to yield plenty of attention from Ramsey as the Rams look to slow the Packers' offense to a halt.

The Packers skipped the first week of the playoffs with a bye as the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

The chess match between the Packers and Rams stars should be fascinating to watch.
