The Green Bay Packers are still recovering from their brutal loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship game, and it turns out they are moving on from one of their coordinators.

Green Bay will not be bringing back Mike Pettine and will look elsewhere for a new defensive coordinator in 2021, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Pettine, a former Cleveland Browns head coach, had the Packers' defense playing the best they had in the past few seasons, but apparently, it wasn't good enough to stay on in Wisconsin.

While the defense ranked in the top 10 in 2020 and seemed to be making strides, Pettine will look elsewhere for a job after they lost their second consecutive NFC title game, this time to Tom Brady and his Buccaneers.

Brady didn't have his best game against the Packers after finishing with 280 yards to go with three touchdowns and three interceptions, with all three turnovers coming in the second half.

The Packers' defensive play call at the end of the first half was severely scrutinized after Brady threw a bomb to Scotty Miller to extend the Bucs lead mere seconds before the half.

That play will live and sting with Green Bay fans forever, as they ended up losing by a score of 31-26 and have to wait yet another year to return back to the Super Bowl.

Unfortunately for Mike Pettine, he is now unemployed and many positions around the league have already been filled. Either way, he should be brought on by somebody after making this Packers defense halfway decent in 2020.
