Adam Vinatieri may be struggling with form with the Indianapolis Colts, but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t deserve his spot with the NFL All-Time Team. He’s been revealed alongside Kansas City Chiefs legend Jan Stenerud as the All-Time team’s kickers for his incredible performances with the Colts and the New England Patriots.

As part of the panel talking about the players who made the big list in the NFL Network, Bill Belichick naturally talked about Vinatieri’s early years in the NFL with the Patriots. Since the two of them entered the Patriots at the same time, Belichick revealed what he thought was the best kick he’s seen a kicker make in the NFL.

He fondly talked about the kicker in detail and the kick that he made against the Oakland Raiders.

“In ’96, it was his first year with the Patriots; it was my first year with the Patriots when I was coaching the secondary. As you said, [a] super clutch kicker. The kick he made against Oakland in four inches of snow was the greatest kick I’ve ever seen.

“Adam’s ball was straight and just had just a little bit of draw to it. Kind of like when you watch those bowlers and it kinda goes and all of a sudden breaks right in there for the strike.”

Vinatieri has won four Super Bowl titles in his illustrious career. He’s been an outstanding kicker for the Pats and the Colts. Despite of the poor run he’s been showing for Indy this season, there’s no question that he’s a sure inclusion to the Hall of Fame.
