Bill Belichick is known as one of the smartest coaches in the NFL, and even he is having a little issue early in training camp. Twins Devin and Jason McCourty are playing together for the first time in the NFL with the New England Patriots, and Belichick is having a hard time telling them apart.

“It's hard to tell them apart,”Belichick said, smiling via ESPN. “Got to take a second look to make sure I'm talking to the right one if they're not in uniform.”

When the two step on the field together during the regular season, it will be the first time since 1926 that twins have played together in the NFL.

The McCourty's played together during high school and at Rutgers but during their NFL days have always been on separate teams. Jason has played for the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns while Devin has spent his entire career in Foxborough. The Twins have dreamed about playing in the NFL together since entering the league although they didn't think it would ever happen.

“It's something we always dreamed about, kind of thought would happen, but, you know, you kind of second-guess that and think maybe not,” Devin said. “I know he's been a good player throughout his career, aside from us being twins or any of that. I thought he had a good year in Cleveland that helped him, and I thought a change of scenery might help him here. I think he has an opportunity to help us, as a veteran, a guy that's played a lot of football, been in different circumstances.”
