The New England Patriots are once again involved in another football-related controversy, and head coach Bill Belichick is having none of it.

The Athletic's Jeff Howe reported that the long-time coach of the Patriots was reportedly “furious” with the latest allegation involving New England. The Patriots video team was caught taking footage of the Cincinnati Bengals sideline during their Week 14 loss to the Cleveland Browns.

New England has since released a statement explaining the situation, saying that the three-man crew who made the trip to FirstEnergy Stadium caught eight minutes of footage for their online video series, “Do Your Job.”

Moreover, Belichick himself cleared the air twice this week, saying that he had “no idea” that the filming occurred before being notified of the investigation started by the NFL.

According to Howe, Belichick and his football operations department also could take matters into their own hands internally.

“The Patriots have also taken steps toward handling the matter internally,” Howe wrote. “Those in the production wing fear jobs are at stake.”

The reason why people are fixated on this issue is due to the fact that this isn't the first time it has happened. The Deflategate can still get a bit of a reaction from Indianapolis Colts fans. Moreover, the 2007 Spygate issue is basically the older version of this issue.

This issue is one that the Patriots definitely didn't need right now. They are struggling to win games this season, and Tom Brady seems to be finally showing a bit of his age, and the rest of the offense can't seem to produce. This problem is an unnecessary distraction for the Patriots.
