Upset in the AFC Wild Card round by the Tennessee Titans, coached by former New England Patriots linebacker Mike Vrabel, teammates in Foxborough, Massachusetts, believe future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady may have played while injured on Saturday.

Last year's Super Bowl MVP Julian Edelman told the NFL Network's Michael Giardi that Brady would “never tell you” if he's hurt.

“He'll never tell you he's hurt. It's not his way. But what did your eyes tell you? That's all I'd ask you: what did you eyes see?”

The 33-year-old wide receiver also told Giardi that he has “good vision” after the NFL reporter commented that the Patriots quarterback appeared hurt.

Brady, 42, will be an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his long, storied professional career in 2020. While many already held the belief that he could retire after another Super Bowl run—perhaps after winning an unconscionable seventh Super Bowl title—the unceremonious home loss in the Wild Card round to the upstart Titans further jeopardizes Brady's career, both in the league in general and with the Patriots. It's not impossible to believe Brady could suit up for another team during the 2020 season instead of outright retiring with his legacy intact.

However, the fact that Brady limped into the postseason, eventually losing, while under the duress of injury is more proof that the “G.O.A.T.” passes along with an air of mystery. On Sunday in the season-wrapping press conference, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick remained shrouded in uncertainty with regards to Brady's upcoming free-agency decision.

For the nonce, Julian Edelman could be the secret insight into Brady's health, although the quarterback is the only one with knowledge surrounding his immediate future under center with the Patriots.
