Sometimes, the jokes write themselves: Robert Kraft has just said that Tom Brady was “laser-focused” during the AFC Championship Game.

Whether deliberate or not, one couldn't help but recall yesterday's report about a fan that's currently under investigation for allegedly shining a laser pointer in the New England Patriots' quarterback's face.

Regardless, according to NBC Sports, the Patriots' owner took to Good Morning America to crack a joke about the fan SNAFU during the AFC Championship, while praising Brady in the process.

“I just hear the word ‘laser’ and I think of Tommy and his eyes. And that last drive, we had three third-down-and-10s, and he was laser focused. So, whatever it was, I think it was a positive influence.”

Kraft went on to say that he was surprised about the laser-pointer incident, seeing as that there's usually security in place to prevent this sort of thing from happening.

To date, however, head coach Bill Belichick hasn't made a public comment about how his team is doing, but it's safe to say that he's probably happy about their progress to the Super Bowl, yet again.

As reported yesterday, Brady had a green laser pointer shined in his face during the AFC Championship Game. Allegedly, it was done by a Kansas City Chiefs fan, and the league has made clear that they are investigating the matter.

The Kansas City police, however, has not gotten involved, though they said they would if they had to.

Brady and the rest of the Patriots will play in the Super Bowl against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, February 3.
