The New England Patriots are coming off their sixth Super Bowl win in franchise history. Although, the Kansas City Chiefs are the favorites to win the AFC in 2019. Rodney Harrison isn't buying it.

In an article for ESPN by Mike Reiss, Harrison says New England is still the team to beat in the AFC. Harrison recognizes the talent of the Chiefs but until someone knocks off the Patriots, they should be favorites.

“I expect the same results, for them to continue to live up to that standard, and I know they will because of the leadership they have — Coach Belichick, [Tom] Brady, [Devin] McCourty and all those guys. I think the Pats should be the favorite in the AFC. I know Kansas City is really good … but I still think the Pats are the best team in the AFC.”

It seems like every season, the media and fans continue to try to discredit the Patriots as the favorites. Even last season, people truly believed that New England wasn't going to be a threat in the playoffs.

Then, with Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, the Patriots made their ninth Super Bowl since 2001. They went on to take down the Los Angeles Rams to secure their sixth Super Bowl win in their franchise's history.

No matter what, as long as the Patriots have Brady under center and Belichick on the sideline, New England will be there come playoff time. After all, until somebody actually takes them down, the Patriots are the Super Bowl champions.

Until then, the Patriots should be the prohibitive favorites in the AFC as Harrison alluded to.
