Mistakes happen when large teams are assembled. It's simply the nature of the beast and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is learning this right now.

The 2017 NFL MVP award has yet to be awarded, but that hasn't stopped Team Brady from preparing an acceptance speech. The Grand Forks Herald's Brad Elliot Schlossman is the culprit as he snagged a photo of Brady's acceptance speech subtly showing face on Thursday during Super Bowl week.

If you look closely, the document is literally titled, “Tom Brady's Acceptance Speech.” The opening paragraph contains the generic words closely tied to humbly accepting such a word including literally showcasing the phrase “Associated Press MVP Award.”

Obviously, Brady won't have much of his attention on NFL Honors, which comes your way Saturday night. The first such event took place in 2012, rewarding players for the 2011 NFL regular season. In the past, awards and the NFL Pro Bowl would take place after the Super Bowl. Today, Roger Goodell and the other suits in the office pulled a switcheroo and moved both events up to take place prior to the Super Bowl—hence ending the season on the greatest possible note.

The one drawback comes when understanding Super Bowl players cannot attend the Pro Bowl, but, come on now, let's be serious … there really shouldn't even be a Pro Bowl game anymore. Just name the Pro Bowlers and hold skill competitions of some sort.

Unlike other quarterbacks like Peyton Manning—who can arguably be considered the greatest week-to-week player in NFL history—Brady hasn't dominated the AP MVP column. He's twice taken the award home. The first came in 2007, his breakout statistical season that saw him put up 50 passing touchdowns. His latest came during the 2010 season.

Brady threw for 4,577 yards and 32 touchdowns with just eight interceptions while leading his New England Patriots to a 13-3 record this season. Competition for the award may boil down to only Carson Wentz.

We'll find out if the speech is tweaked a bit come Saturday. That is if Tom Brady is named the 2017 AP NFL MVP.
