On Tuesday morning, embattled NFL wide receiver took to Instagram to apologize to Robert Kraft and the New England Patriots, and Tom Brady was one of numerous Patriots players to “like” Brown's post:

The Patriots signed Brown just before the season started. He made his New England debut in Week 2, logging four catches for 56 yards and a touchdown in a win over the Miami Dolphins.

However, what the Pats did not know at the time was that Brown was facing rape allegations from his former trainer, and shortly after those allegations surfaced, another woman accused the wideout of sexual misconduct.

Brown then allegedly sent threatening text messages to the accuser, which ultimately resulted in the Patriots releasing him.

The 31-year-old has been out of the NFL ever since. He met with the league for eight hours last Thursday, and follow-up meetings are expected before a decision is made about his future in the league.

Whether or not Brown will ever play in the NFL again remains to be seen.

The seven-time Pro Bowler was originally supposed to play for the Oakland Raiders this season after heading to the Raiders in a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers back in March.

However, a series of incidents in training camp eventually led to Brown requesting his release from Oakland just before the regular season began. The Raiders granted his wish, and he went on to sign with the Patriots.

New England is 9-1 thus far this season and will face the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
