New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was placed on the team's injury report for the first time this season as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. According to the NFL Network's Michael Girardi, Brady sustained the knee injury on the double-pass against the Tennessee Titans in Week 10. Brady made the catch but was tackled short of a first down.

Luckily for Brady and the Patriots, his availability Sunday against the New York Jets is not in question. From Girardi:

The Patriots list Tom Brady as limited with a knee. Source says it happened on the double pass vs Tenn. Source not worried about his availability for Sunday vs. Jets.

Brady was a regular member of New England's injury report in 2017 with shoulder and Achilles ailments, but neither were serious enough to keep him off the field. The five-time Super Bowl champion played in all 19 of New England's games last season, including Super Bowl 52 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Tight end Rob Gronkowski, running back Sony Michel, and guard Shaq Mason were also limited in practice, but Michel is expected to play again and Gronkowski is trending toward making a return this week. That's good news for the Patriots, who struggled to consistently move the ball in their loss to the Titans before the bye, only managing to score 10 points.

At 7-3, New England is well positioned to win the AFC East for the 16th time over the last 18 seasons and the 15th time over the last 16. They're currently tied for the 3rd seed in the conference with the Houston Texans, but they hold the tiebreaker since they beat Houston in Week 1.

Jets starting quarterback Sam Darnold likely won't be available for Sunday's game, although head coach Todd Bowles is not prepared to officially rule him out. The rookie missed practice Wednesday after missing the team's Week 10 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

After facing New York Sunday, the Patriots' final five games are against the Minnesota Vikings, Miami Dolphins, Pittsburgh Steelers, Bills, and another matchup with the Jets.
