The New England Patriots have made it a habit of adding potential difference-makers at wide receiver down the final stretch of seasons. This year's version came in the form of veteran wideout Kenny Britt. In turn, Tom Brady seems pretty happy about it.

Despite his abysmal year with the Cleveland Browns, the Patriots decided to give Britt another chance to redeem himself. According to Doug Kyed of NESN, Britt's taken full advantage and has even recently earned the praise of superstar quarterback Tom Brady:

“You know, he’s just kind of come in and worked hard the last couple days and trying to understand all the things we’ve got going,” Brady said. “Hopefully, we can add something to the mix here in a short period of time. It’s always challenging for a guy to come in late and pick up everything at once, but hopefully he can figure out a role. He’s had a lot of production and he’s going to have to go out and earn it, earn everybody’s trust to get out there, but he’s done a good job the first couple days.”

It should come as no surprise that Britt seems to be making the most out of his opportunity with an elite team like New England. The nine-year veteran has received scathing criticism since his departure from Cleveland.

Aside from his recent performance, Kenny Britt has shown plenty of potential in over the years as a solid option. Most notably during the 2016 NFL season where he managed to break the 1,000-yard mark with the Los Angeles Rams despite the fact that they were the worst offense in the league that year.

It will be interesting to see how quickly Britt can grasp the New England offense, then if he's able to help the Patriots put up even more points on the scoreboard.
