The New England Patriots defense: confirmed very good at this whole football thing.

On Monday night, the Patriots defense forced a fourth interception on New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold. They did so with their backs against in the wall, in the red zone.

Darnold threw the interception awkwardly, as he didn't get a full motion in to provide his pass with what they call “oomph” and “accuracy.” In turn, defensive back Terrance Brooks was able to reel in the interception; not as if the Patriots needed it, considering the deemed the Jets offense as ineffective all night long.

The Patriots' defense is a nightmare for the young Darnold, who says he is “seeing ghosts” while playing them. By the time of his fourth interception, he had five total turnovers and went 8 of 19 for 50 yards and no touchdowns, good for a 10.1 passer rating.

It's a Bill Belichick world and we are living in it.
