San Antonio Spurs center Pau Gasol got a special workout on Monday morning as recently-retired icon Tim Duncan defended him in one-on-one post scenarios.
Gasol is Duncan's replacement at center, though a much less defensive-minded one at that. As the footage shows, Duncan hasn't lost his footwork on the defensive end, making the 7-foot Spaniard go 1-of-3 from the post.

The “Big Fundamental” is a basketball lifer and he's earning every bit of the $1.9 million player-option under Spurs payroll. Perhaps his appearance has much to do with showing the team what effort through four quarters really looks like, even if he can't play for that long a stretch any longer.
