Atlanta Hawks forward Paul Millsap is not a stranger to being part of trade rumors.

The 10-year veteran has been a member of only two teams, and has consistently put up solid performances without complaining.

Millsap became a point of discussion this summer when the Atlanta Hawks signed center Dwight Howard, while also wanting to retain now-former center Al Horford.

According to The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Hawks gauged interest in Millsap's contract, believing Horford would return on a max deal. That deal would have indefinitely cost the team Millsap’s presence, but Horford eventually moved along to sign with the Boston Celtics.

Paul Millsap now has another All Star big man to play alongside in Howard, and he has to focus on how to help the team next season.

That means he has to block out the summer's business deals, and what-could-have-beens to continue being a solid contributor.

When Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal asked how he felt about the trade rumors, Millsap sounded indifferent and, as usual, didn't have much to say at all.

His answer was one you would expect from a veteran player who hears rumors all the time, but rarely witness them come to fruition.

The Hawks still have what was arguably their best player on the team last season in Paul Millsap, and added a shot-blocking big man that can help him patrol the paint while taking pressure off of him defensively. Millsap averaged 17.1 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks last season.

The possibility of trading Millsap has passed for now, and the Hawks have an exciting season ahead.
