New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis won't make much of the rumors swirling this offseason, claiming his recent signing with Klutch Sports Agency; led by LeBron James' friend and business partner Rich Paul, won't necessarily determine his next landing spot. Davis has been the latest rumored to wind up with the Los Angeles Lakers after foregone conclusions like Paul George and Kawhi Leonard were snagged out of the market by teams willing to trade for them.

“You hear it everywhere, it's funny, how did that [Lakers rumors] even happen? How does that correlate?” Anthony Davis asked with a laugh in an interview with ESPN's Rachel Nichols. “You know, in my head, I don't pay attention to it, I keep going back to it but it's the truth, I look at what I have now and what I can do now and that's helping my team win.”

“You can't listen to what somebody else is saying, all the white noise, ‘AD's going here, AD's going here,' — AD's playing for the Pelicans this year… the rest will take care of itself.”

Davis has yet to express interest in playing for a different franchise, but he's also not proved content with just making the playoffs, failing to get past the Western Conference semifinals in both of his postseason appearances.

The Pelicans have put a re-bolstered team around him after DeMarcus Cousins' departure after a year-and-a-half tenure in The Big Easy, putting the likes of Julius Randle, Elfrid Payton and keeping Nikola Mirotic in the mix, who proved to be a big part of their postseason success.

The Lakers are still looking for a second max-level player to pair alongside James and if they hone in on Davis by next summer, we'll really know where his loyalties lie.
