New Orleans Pelicans All-Star small forward Brandon Ingram is impressed by the improvement Lonzo Ball has made this season.

Ball has turned into a budding two-way star for the Pelicans now that his jump shot has improved.

“It’s a beautiful thing to see,” Ingram said about Ball's growth, per Jim Eichenhofer of Pelicans.com. “He’s put in the work. He goes to the gym, even when I say I’m tired and I’m taking days off. He’s there all the time. He’s falling in love with the game of basketball. I like what he’s doing”

Before the NBA suspended the season, Ball appeared in 56 games for the Pelicans. He is averaging 12.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 7.0 assists in 32.4 minutes per contest while shooting 41.2 percent from the field, 38.3 percent from beyond the arc and 56.7 percent from the free-throw line.

Ball's free-throw percentage is still really low for a point guard, but the Pelicans are just happy to see the former Los Angeles Lakers lottery pick find his groove from beyond the arc.

If the NBA season starts up again, the Pelicans will be in the 10th spot in the Western Conference standings. After starting off the 2019-20 campaign terribly, New Orleans got back in the playoff picture out West by playing inspired basketball on both ends of the court.

It also helped that 2019 No. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson finally joined the lineup in January. Williamson has been on another level for New Orleans since making his regular season debut.

The Pelicans certainly have a great future ahead with Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson leading the charge.
