Former NBA guard JJ Redick recently put New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson on blast for not reaching out to new teammate CJ McCollum. On ESPN's First Take, Redick even described Zion's behavior as “insane.”

Redick, who played one and a half seasons with the Pelicans, couldn't fathom how Zion doesn't do even the bare minimums as a teammate. The sweet-shooting guard also revealed he already called out the often-injured forward in front of the whole team for his lack of commitment.

“I addressed this with Zion in front of the team. There is a responsibility that you have to have as an athlete when you play a team sport to be fully invested: To be fully invested in your body, your work, your teammates. And we have not seen that from Zion. As a teammate, there is a pattern of behavior. This is worrisome.”

Well, it seems Redick's advice simply fell on deaf ears, as Zion continues to be not fully invested with the Pelicans. There were rumors in the past that the 21-year-old force of nature and his family aren't happy in NOLA, so perhaps there's some truth to the whispers.

Redick and Zion both starred at Duke, and they sure learned there how to be fully committed, especially with a strict coach in Mike Krzyzewski. But quite noticeably, it hasn't been the same in the NBA for the Pelicans star, who is still out due to a foot injury.
