Only a few days into training camp, veteran guard Jrue Holiday has already noticed how his new teammates could operate during this upcoming 2019-20 season. The New Orleans Pelicans two-way star praised rookie Zion Williamson and third-year point man Lonzo Ball for their individual skills, which should prove to be assets head coach Alvin Gentry can put to use throughout the season.

Williamson is the highest-touted rookie since LeBron James, and has as sturdy a frame as any of the strongest NBA players. Yet Holiday is impressed by his agility and niftiness.

“He can do a lot,” said Holiday of Williamson, according to Jim Eichenhofer of Pelicans.com. “Rebounding, getting to the basket, getting to the free throw line. (When he attacks the basket) he's either going through you, or you're going to foul him… He's agile. He can really move for how big he is.”

Ball also impressed during his first few days at camp, not only sporting a new jump shot, but also showing the uncanny vision that made him the second overall pick of the 2017 NBA Draft.

“We know how well he passes, how fast he is, his vision is awesome,” said Holiday. “I know we’ll be able to run the (break). We have high-fliers, as we saw with the rookies in Summer League. It’s going to be a good time.”

Holiday is one of a handful of veterans trusted with the task of leading a young and inexperienced pack of players, but the skills are certainly there with the pieces the Pelicans brass has put together at the wake of Anthony Davis' departure.
