There is no love lost between Matt Barnes and the Sacramento Kings as they didn't part ways on the best of terms. His grudge with the Kings was very much palpable on Thursday right after his ex-Kings teammate and current New Orleans Pelicans star DeMarcus Cousins almost single-handedly crushed his former team with an astounding 41-point, 23-rebound effort in a 114-106 New Pelicans victory.

Barnes got a huge kick out of seeing the Kings get trampled upon by Cousins, and he expressed his sheer delight with the way Boogie played the role of a nightmare to his former team in the form of an Instagram post.

Barnes first played for the Kings in 2004, though the team was still then under the ownership of the Maloofs. He only developed rancor towards Sacramento in his second stint with the team last season with Vivek Ranadive as the Kings’ head honcho.

Barnes was waived by the Kings in February of this year, but it opened an opportunity for him to join the Golden State Warriors with whom he eventually won his first NBA title.

Currently a free agent, Barnes, 37, can surely count out Sacramento as a possible suitor for his services after this latest stunt.
