Drake is arguably the most prominent rapper in the NBA today. His reach goes way beyond his music, as he's been a steady presence within and around the league for what now feels like many, many years. It appears that this does not mean much to New Orleans Pelicans superstar Zion Williamson.

In a recent impromptu interview, Zion was asked about his favorite rapper in the game today. Without much hesitation, the Pelicans stud pointed in the direction of NBA YoungBoy (h/t Bleacher Report on Twitter):

“My opinion right now,” Williamson said, “out of the young core, I gotta go with YoungBoy.”

To be fair, Williamson did qualify his response by saying that YoungBoy is his pick “out of the young core.” Drake is more vintage as opposed to his younger counterparts, so he doesn't necessarily fall within the Pelicans star's qualifications here. That's just another way of saying that Drizzy is old, I guess.

Zion speaks more to the younger generation, and this is no surprise considering how he's considered one of the brightest young stars in the league today. Injuries have been a major hurdle for the former first-overall pick, but there's still no denying that he remains to be a prominent figure in the future of the NBA.
