The New Orleans Pelicans got themselves quite the haul for Anthony Davis from the Los Angeles Lakers, making other teams intrigued in a potential trade for one of those assets, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Teams are already expressing significant interest in the No. 4 overall pick belonging now to the Pelicans, league sources tell ESPN. Talks are expected to continue over the next few days. This deal could get even bigger for the Pelicans.

In the deal, Los Angeles sent Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, Brandon Ingram, and three first-round picks — which include this year's fourth overall selection.

While the 2019 NBA Draft has drawn flak for being shallow, the talent at the top remains intriguing. Zion Williamson, Ja Morant, and RJ Barrett are all expected to be unavailable with the fourth pick, but players like Darius Garland, Jarrett Culver, and DeAndre Hunter are very solid prospects who could contribute to NBA teams as early as now. Contenders and rebuilding teams alike may want to get a crack at any of these future stars.

Even before the trade was made official, Davis no longer had a future in the Big Easy. That said, the Pelicans got a coup from this deal and had put themselves in a great position moving forward.

David Griffin should get high grades for this blockbuster deal that could only get better depending on who they get in exchange for their newly-acquired lottery pick.
