The list of good things Blake Griffin is bringing to the Detroit Pistons' chemistry and team camaraderie is growing. Aside from helping the team have a perfect 5-0 record since his arrival, he's now lifting the spirits of the young guys.

This is a good bonus to his great numbers so far – 21.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 6.3 assists.

The cool moment happened this past Monday, when the Pistons routed the visiting Portland Trail Blazers, 111-91, to notch the fourth win of their current five-game winning streak.

Reggie Hearn joined other second and third-string players to close out the cruising victory with under three minutes left. Just a few plays after entering the game, he went to the left corner, quickly got the ball, and dropped a trifecta that roared the crowd and his teammates. As seen in the clip, even fellow rookie Luke Kennard was excited.

Hearn was with the Sacramento Kings during the preseason, but was waived three days prior to the official start of the 2017-18 campaign. He was then picked up by the Pistons last January 15th on a two-way contract.

For the little-known NBA newbie, that three-pointer was more than just a garbage-time field goal. It might be the morale-booster that he needed since it was the first attempt of his first NBA game.

There's little chance that Reggie Hearn will be inserted in the Pistons' rotation moving forward, but no one should count it out. The 26-year-old has showcased good shooting from his NCAA and G-League days, and we all know how head coach Stan Van Gundy likes to get shooters on the floor.
