The official Pokemon UNITE Twitter posted a big announcement that teases 3 additional playable Pokemons in the following months of February and March. They have recently added Dragonite and Tsareena last month, which shook the meta and made All-Rounders more playable. Recently, Pokemon Unite added Trevenant to the roster of playable Pokemons with the role of Defender. Its kit disables enemies displacing the opposing Pokemon with 2 of his moves. The Pokemon also has an area of effect dps type of move which slows down Pokemons affected in the area, the lower its HP is. Trevenant is the 30th playable character for Pokemon UNITE.

Joining Trevenant, the Pokemon Company and TiMi Studio also released which type of Pokemon is coming in the next few weeks. Pokemon UNITE will be housing an additional All-Rounder as well as a Supporter, this coming February. Leaks have already pointed out which All-Rounder Pokemon is joining the roster. Pokemon Aegislash revealed to be that Pokemon but we have to wait for the official announcement for us to play him. Some data miners already sampled a gameplay for Aegislash and showed off his moveset. A new Attacker will also join the roster in March and the symbol provided is familiar to some Pokemon. The community predicted that it would be Alakazam having the slanted eyes. Some also named Krookodile to be the additional Attacker. All we can do is wait for the official announcements.

In addition to these 3 teased Pokemons, the game will have a more balanced character choice through all roles. Some of the Pokemon UNITE community however is still waiting for a new Speedster. They haven't added any of that role ever since the release of Pokemon UNITE in July 2021. All four Speedsters started almost at the same time, with Zeraora as a bonus character given to all players. The Center role usually gets filled up by a Speedster before, but since the meta has changed and more Pokemon's are added, All-Rounders and Attackers became priority within the role.

Hopefully some of the teased Pokemons would be given for free, like Zeraora, Tsareena as well as Greedent. These Pokemons were free as part of an event. This would entice more players to play the game due to having more selections in their arsenal. Some crowd favorites are still missing most likely saved for a big event to come next time.
