The Oakland Raiders are in a funk. After opening the season with back-to-back wins, the Raiders radiated with optimism about heading back to the playoffs for the second year in a row. However, what followed is a four-game skid that the Raiders have yet to end.

The Raiders’ troubles are partly caused by a problematic offense that has been setback by an injury to quarterback Derek Carr, who fractured three transverse processes in his back in Week 4’s loss to the Denver Broncos.

Carr missed the following game against the Baltimore Ravens and returned to the field on Sunday, albeit in a loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Carr didn’t look as if he had fully recovered from the injury in the Chargers game, as he passed for only 171 yards on 21-of-30 completions for a touchdown and two interceptions.

In a report by Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, it was stated that Carr is now 100 percent healthy.

The Oakland injury report filed on Monday in advance of Thursday night’s showdown with the Chiefs omits Carr’s name entirely, which signifies that he’s as fine as he was before the injury.

This is an uplifting news for the Raiders heading into a crucial Thursday night matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Raiders are currently sitting at the bottom of the AFC West division with a 2-4 record.
