There are a lot of possible fantasy football scenarios for the new-look Rams offense now that they have signed Odell Beckham Jr. Will it significantly impact Cooper Kupp's record-breaking season? Will this push Robert Woods completely out of the picture? Are there too many mouths to feed leading to a disgruntled Beckham Jr. again?

All of those are valid questions. Beckham Jr's signing with the Rams will have a fantasy impact, that is a certainty. So I will break it down to the most likely outcomes.

If there is any thought to Beckham becoming the 1A receiver in this offense, that is extremely unlikely. We know that OBJ likes to work off-script, often running his own route instead of the route called for him. Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, despite being mobile, is not one to work off script frequently.

Head coach Sean McVay likes to keep the team ahead of the chains. They do that by being buttoned up. Everyone has a role and a job to do. So I believe we can completely erase the idea of Beckham becoming a WR1 for fantasy purposes.

So, where will he fit into this offense. Cooper Kupp is on an almost historic pace receiving this year. It is inevitable that will decline, at least somewhat. Kupp has received double digit targets in every game this season but one.

That will probably change, but I do not believe it will negatively impact Kupp very much. He will more than likely drop to a mid-to-low tier WR1 with some of his target share and particularly red zone looks declining.

How about Robert Woods? Well, Woods has not been nearly as involved in the offense this season as in the past. Woods has had six or fewer targets in five of the nine games this season. He still occasionally picks up a rushing attempt or two, but that is negligible and not quantifiable for fantasy purposes.

The relative lack of involvement has a lot to do with the emergence of Van Jefferson, who acts as the team's third wide receiver. With Kupp working out of the slot so frequently, and the Rams running 3 wide receiver sets among the most in the league, Jefferson has been split wide the vast majority of the time.

That is the most likely role for Odell Beckham Jr. to fill. Woods should continue seeing his 6-8 targets with occasional jet sweeps.

But look for Beckham Jr. to take over that other split wide position on the field. The Rams brought in veteran receiver DeSean Jackson earlier this season, but that did not work out and they released him recently. Beckham Jr. can do what they had hoped Jackson would do consistently, which is take the top off of the defense and stretch the field.

But he can also run those intermediate routes, crossing routes and plays where you just want to get him in open space.

Beckham Jr. just turned 29 last week, so he should have plenty left in the tank. Even as the potential third option in the Rams passing game, Beckham Jr. will still have more opportunities to make plays and score than he did in Cleveland. I project him as a low-end WR2 rest of season once he is more integrated into the offense.

It might not be the best case scenario for Beckham Jr.'s fantasy stock, but it is far from the worse.
