Rams running back Todd Gurley off injury report Wednesday

Todd Gurley and the Los Angeles Rams are heading into their NFC Championship Game matchup against the New Orleans Saints this week. It is a game that many fans believe will be a shootout. Both offenses were high-powered all season long and they are not looking to slow down anytime soon.

According to a report from Pro Football Talk, Gurley has been taken off of the team’s injury report on Wednesday. That news comes as music to the Rams’ fan base’s ears.

Rams coach Sean McVay said Wednesday he expected Todd Gurley to have a limited practice. But the Rams, who had a walk-through Wednesday, listed no one on their injury report. That means Gurley is off the report and estimated as a full participant.

Los Angeles saw their ground game carry them over the Dallas Cowboys last week. Both Gurley and C.J. Anderson rushed for over 100 yards in the game. That performance showed that even with the injury concern surrounding him, Gurley is still capable of putting up superstar numbers.

New Orleans is going to be a much tougher opponent. They have a much better offense and their defense has shown flashes of brilliance throughout the season as well.

That being said, Gurley being off of the injury report is a very good sign for the Rams.

Expect to see Gurley come out looking healthier than he has been in recent weeks. He sounds ready to take the field and should see a heavy workload once again this week.

If the Rams want to knock off the Saints, they are going to need their star running back to step up.
