The Toronto Raptors may have just inched closer towards convincing superstar Kawhi Leonard to sign an extension with the team following Saturday night's series-clinching victory against the Milwaukee Bucks. However, if a recent comment by a family member of the former Finals MVP is to be believed, it seems that Leonard is already set on leaving despite how things turn out this season.

Following Toronto's 100-94 Game 6 victory, Kawhi's sister went on Instagram to share this remarkable moment with Raptors fan. However, as noted by Darelle Lincoln of Total Pro Sports, a man is heard speaking in the background revealing Kawhi's plan to jump ship this offseason. “They know darn well he ain’t gonna be there next year,” stated the unidentified voice.

The statement allegedly comes from Leonard's own uncle, who seems to have some insider knowledge on the 27-year-old's imminent decision. If we take his statement at face value here, then it seems that Kawhi has already made up his mind, and that nothing — not even winning a championship — would prevent him from turning his back on Toronto in the summer.

Nevertheless, until anything is made official, all this ought to be considered as nothing more than mere speculation. While the source of this recent claim does come from someone very close to Leonard, there is still no way to tell how this narrative will unfold in the summer.

For now, though, Leonard definitely has his focus set on other more pressing matters. He and the Raptors are currently in an excellent position to win the organization's first ever NBA title. What's standing in their way, however, are the three-peat seeking Golden State Warriors, so Kawhi and company better be one hundred percent focused on the task at hand.
